Your information and data.
The applications are not designed to access or store any information which identifies you or the device the application runs on except as noted for individual applications mentioned below. There is no interest in collecting, storing or sharing any information about application users or user activity which may be used outside of the applications, such as marketing. Since no such information is collected, it is impossible to share it with third parties except where noted below. Any data generated by user activity is used solely for the benefit of the user and application features. All application data is stored securely on the user’s device and is not available to any other applications.**
Some applications allow users to generate application content for the purpose of sharing with other application users. This is considered to be public information which is generated solely by the users and is kept in cloud storage. All user generated content for public distribution is moderated by users and monitors for violations of our user generated content policies specific to each application. All content violations are deleted permanently.
The applications require a connection to the Internet. The network connection is required in order to load display based advertising within the application. (The inclusion of display advertising may include the ability to determine your location in order to present location and/or preference based ads. This functionality is outside the scope of our control.) Google does provide a means for users to opt out of preference based advertising and most Android devices allow users to turn off location services.
Internet access is required for other application specific needs such as noted below:
Jabber Box – Needs Internet to display in-app ads.
Spot It!, Map It! – Need access to Google Maps.
Map It! – Allows users to share location and user generated content to be shared via SMS and has the ability to access user SMS messages for the purpose of importing individual location or route information sent by other users of Map It! Users may also share current or stored location in user generated content to other applications, social media and email. All data sharing is under the control of the application users.
Good Thoughts, Share Haiku, Life Photo Today (LPT) – Needs access to cloud storage to store and display user content shared publicly.
Jabber Box – User generated content is stored on the local device only.
Good Thoughts, Share Haiku – No user or device ids are stored along with user generated content in the cloud. Data related to user submissions and voting activity are stored locally on the device.
Spot It!, Map It! – Geographical location and configuration data used by the application is stored securely on your device and can accessed only by the application.
Requires User and Device Authentication
Life Photo Today (LPT) – Does store user and device ids along with user generated content in order to facilitate private messaging and potential contact between buyers and sellers of user generated content. The application uses meta-data stored in a photo file to authenticate the time, location and device id of the device used to create the photo. Photo location is only used to generate a global map of current photo submission activity within the past 24 hours. NOTE: LPT is still in beta testing.
